Since I was young I have always been passionate about photography. The processing of my analogue black-and-white and colour photographs in a darkroom added to my pleasure. Today I take digital photographs and I also use the technique of photo composition and photo collage in order to intensify the meaning of my work. I work as a freelance photographer in Berlin and in Imperia (Italy).

My work is diverse and deals with experiments and changes, with metamorphoses, with dreams and human relations. Man confronted with individual and worldwide social challenges is looking for an orientation in the middle of the events in a traditional or in a curious and inquiringly open way. The process reveals traces in the dialogue of the forces.  

“In his work Klaus Raabe defines rooms that are actually neither visible nor tangible. The observer is in the discourse between reality and alienation and is torn between association and emotion. Well-known forms become abstract compositions. At the same time the artist makes use of the clear symbolism of things, objects, buildings and also of people and joins them to an esthetic picture.”
